YOGA CLASS INFO:

KUNDALINI
In Kundalini Yoga we use postures, breath, sound current (mantra and chanting), and meditation to bring about an elementary change in our body, mind and spirit. Kundalini Yoga is a very powerful yoga that helps us build stamina and recharge ourselves by stimulating the nervous and immune systems, aligning the spine and tapping into our innermost energy source. It creates a feeling of well-being, relaxation and happiness, and it can help with back pain, stress, depression, a weak immune system and weight control. Everyone can do it!

VINYASA/FLOW
Vinyasa/Flow is a series of movements designed to align the body. The different postures (asanas) are performed in a nonstop flow, coordinated with the breath. This brings about an increase in energy, a strengthening of the body, and a greater range of motion. It serves as a path to health, flexibility, strength, balance and control, both on and off the mat.

IYENGAR
In the Iyengar system, special focus is placed on alignment, timing and sequencing. Correct alignment requires focus and attention by the student. Longer timing in the poses builds stamina, and the sequence of the poses taught provides the student with increased awareness of the physical, mental and emotional changes which occur during the practice. Vitality, balance and coordination are all enhanced.

INTRO
These are the perfect yoga classes for you if you are new to yoga and want to learn the basics, if you want to take an easy approach into the practice of yoga and meditation or if you just want to relax from a stressful day.

STRETCH AND STRENGTHEN
We warm up with yoga stretches and movement; then we work on strengthening the body using straps and other fun equipment. A very creative blend of yoga, pilates and light strength training. These classes will give you a good workout, but don't be afraid to give them a try. You can do everything at your own pace and to your own ability.

MEDITATION
Explore different meditation techniques and styles such as mantras, chanting, breath meditation, and silent meditation. You don't need to know "how to meditate" to participate. Meditation is easy to learn and part of all of our Kundalini classes.
